Paris and London in March Day 1

Ryan and I got the chance of a lifetime to go to Paris, Normandy and London for 9 days. We couldn't of done it without my mom and dad, Janette, and Allie helping out with kids so we could go and finally get another stamp in our passports to go along with the only other country we have been to Mexico!

On March 24th we got on our 10 1/2 hour flight to Paris that went through the night and got us into Paris the next morning. We we excited to go to France but not looking forward to our long flight. We tried to sleep but I don't think Ryan slept more than an hour or so and I got a little bit more than him. But when we landed at 11am Paris time we only had one day and we were going to make the most of it. Our biggest adventure was the shuttle drive from the airport to our hotel down in the 8th district. The drive even made Ryan nervous and he doesn't get nervous very often from crazy driving! But man I have never knew people could drive like they do in Paris and not just be in wrecks all of the time!

Our Driver did get us to our hotel without any harm and we checked into the Hotel D'Argenson. It was a cute little french hotel and it was in the perfect location since Ryan and I wanted to walk around Paris. The elevator could only fit Ryan and our luggage it was so small! We had an awesome view and a very small room. The bathroom was so small you could sit on the toliet and rest your head on the door! But we loved it!

We dropped our stuff off and away we went to enjoy our day in Paris. We walked down to the Place De La Concorde to see a very big fountain, then walked through this beautiful park that took us right to the Louvre. Unfournatly the Louvre was closed but we walked all around the outside. After the Louvre we walked down to Notre Dame and went in and walked around and saw the Church's Jewels. After we had to get our crepe with nutella and it was yummy! After we went to the Des Arts bridge across the Seine River were they have locks of love all over the railings. Ryan had gotten me a lock for Valentines so we took our lock and locked our love forever and threw the key in the river, AHHH so romantic!

We of course had to cross the bridge Rue De Pont were they filmed some of Bourne Idenity. We were supposed to get a river cruise but things got messed up so we just walked along the Seine River and went down to the Eiffel Tower. It was so amazing and I am glad our tour got messed up since we spent about two hours at the tower. We decided to walk up to the second floor and it was  a lot of steps up to it. Catching our breath we took time to take pictures and then took the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The view was breath taking at night! On our way down we even got to see the light show. After we got a sandwich and ate under the Eiffel Tower before we made our trek to the Arc De Triomphe. Again we paid a lot of money to walk up a lot of stairs but wasn't disappointed with the view from the top. Ryan did awesome navigating for us and we made it back to our hotel by 11pm. It only took us about 5 mins and we were fast asleep..
