Caen to Bayuex day 2

Day 2 we woke up in our Paris Hotel room and had a delicious breakfast of crossiants and juice in bed. Then it was time to check out and catch our Train down to Normandy. Caen was were we could pick up our rental car and then up to get Ryan's parents from the Ferry. They got permission to meet us over in Normandy from their mission. It was so great to see them again! After picking them up we drove over to Bayuex were we stayed at my favorite place of the trip at La Tour Lou Guesthouse. Wil was the owner and he was so nice and fun to talk to and I forgot to take a picture of him! His family has owned this house for decades and he even grew up in this house! Our room had a beautiful view of the Bayuex Cathedral that was build in like the 900's. It was an amazing and beautiful cathedral. After getting settled in we took a nice walk over to the Cathedral and took a tour and then went over to see the Bayuex Tapestry and was made when William the Conquer was alive. It is this huge tapestry and tells the story of William the Conquer and for how old it is has been well taken care of.

After the tapestry we walked over to get something to eat and tried some delicious french meals. The Ham and cheese over their is to die for! Along with their diet cokes which are called lite coke. After dinner we went back and got the car and drove over to the British Cemetery. You can't describe the feeling when you see all these headstones of WWII Veterans that gave their lifes and then know there are some many other cemetries filled with Americans, Germans, Canadians, ect. This got Ryan all excited for our Normandy tour the next day. We finally went back to our rooms and sat up and talked with Niel and Carolee for a while until we called it a night.
