Tyler had his first Christmas dance and boy was he excited along with his friend Carter. They both look so grow up and Tyler wants me to put "SEXY"! I think it is time to talk about the birds and the bees again. Lucky for me he only ended up hugging a girl on a dare, but he wasn't shy about asking the girls to dance.
Treven had a second Christmas concert with his ukelele club. He did a great job and has loved learning to play that thing.
This year we decided to go and have Breakfast with Santa up at Thanksgiving Point. We had to wake up early to we could be up there by 8:30.
When we got there we were all ready to have some breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Yummy french toast with all the fixings. After breakfast the kids went up to see Santa. Tyler wasn't that excited but being a good boy to his mama he went up so I could get a picture of the kids with Santa. Along with seeing Santa the kids had fun getting his face painted, balloon animals, decorating cookies, and watching Emery run away from the Gingerbread man. After our Breakfast fun we went over to Scheel's and had fun browsing through the store and riding the Ferris Wheel. 2 hours went by quickly and we finally left Scheel's and went up to Salt Lake so I could finally see City Creek. We had lunch there and then noticed we still had a couple hours until the lights were going to come on at Temple Square and one little girl that was getting very tired so we decided to just walk around Temple Square and then go home. It was fun walking around with crowds and Tyler had some temple trivia for us. We even went through the Beehive house or Brigham Youngs house and that was an adventure trying to keep the 3 kids from touching everything. Even though we didn't get to see the lights it was a great family day. The kids were spent by the time we got home. We left around 8am and finally got home about 5pm. It was a fun family day!
We were rushed on Sunday for me to get everyone in their Christmas clothes. Tyler was already in ready to pass the sacrament, but I stopped the other kids and got a quick picture!
The last day of school before Christmas break Halle had her Christmas program and it was short and sweet. Halle did a great job and always sings her heart out! Way to go Halle! Ryan, Grandma Roses, Emery, and I had a great time listening to all the songs and poems the kids had been working on since the start of school.
