Crazy Labor day weekend started during the week with the Averett cousins coming down to play and get my niece Rachel all moved into her BYU dorm. I know Kim and Ryan are sad but the Utah folks are excited to have Rachel close! We had fun getting to go over and see her new digs and spend some time with her before she started school. All week long the kids played and then the Colton Cousins came in on Friday and the party stayed going strong. Saturday was Halle's baptism and she looked so grown up and beautiful! Emery was however having a very hard time with everything being about Halle. All week long she has told me I love Halle more that her since she gets to be baptized and gets to pierce her ears. Then She told me "all we talk about is Halle, Halle, Halle!" Telling her that soon it will be her baptism day and then it will all be about Emery, Emery, Emery isnt helping! But soon this will all die down and Emery can rule the nest again. Halle got to share her special day with her friend Kamry and it was really a wonderful baptism. Ryan gave Halle a beautiful confirmation and Halle just look like a princess in her baptism dress. After we had a fun pasta bar lunch with all the family and finally Halle got to have her cake and ice cream with everyone singing to her. She was all smiles all day long! My friend Julie made her cake and it was the cutest thing ever! Halle's school teacher even came to her baptism since Mrs. Staples in in our ward but she was so excited to say her teacher came to her baptism.
After the baptism it was play time with the Averett time cousins since they would all be leaving tomorrow. The kids had fun just playing around. Some went to a movie, some played at our house, and some the older boys with Tyson driving went out for a night on the town playing laser tag and going to the movies. Sunday we said goodbye to the cousins and then went to Treven's arrow of light. Crazy that we as a family are done with the cub scout program and Treven will move onto the Boy Scout program. He is all grown up.
