Jakers Pumpkin Patch and Trevens Superbowl......

You can't start October without a trip to Jakers Pumpkin patch! Emery starts asking when the patch will be open starting July! We love visiting the patch over conference weekend and this year we had Jaron up from Vernal to join in the fun! This year Jake added a corn maze and the kids had fun having a race to see who could get out the fastest. It was Treven and Jaron against Ryan and Halle. Treven and Jaron won and they didn't let Ryan forget it. The kids had a blast playing around in the corn, going down the slides, climbing and climbing on the Hay stacks and petting the animals. Last was getting our pumpkins and the kids along with ryan I swear picked out the biggest ones they had down there!

For the past five years Ryan had spent his fall coaching tyler in football, but with Tyler moving up to freshman ball Ryan got the chance to finally get to coach Treven in football. It was even more fun for him since this was Treven's first year in tackle football. Treven also got to have his cousin Dylan on the team along with a bunch of his friends! Ryan took Tylers tackle football team along with Steve and they went undefeated two years in a row and Super Bowl champions. Well Ryan, Jeff, Nick, and Jeramiah took this little football team and Ryan got to coach another team that went undefeated in their season and were the superbowl champions. The best part about the superbowl game was that Treven had a rockin game and had his best game of the season! Treven was on fire and had so many tackles and breakthough on the line that they put an extra guy on Treven. What made it even better was when Treven came up to Ryan and said, "Dad I finally get it, if this guy goes here I go here and if this happens then I do this!" All year long Ryan had been trying to get him to see the plays and the field and at the last game he got it! It made Treven feel like a superstar and after the game he had the biggest smile on his face and couldn't stop telling me about how many tackles he got, how they won the superbowl, and how much he loved playing football! Treven struggles with a lot of things in school so to just see his self esteem jump by a foot was awessome for this mom! After the game was won it got even better, Ryan carried on his tradition of singing the We Are the Devils chant with the team, and the champion t-shirt. Since Treven was handed that t-shirt he was worn that thing for 5 days straight! Lucky for me I got to wash it before he headed out the door for school today!
