Jakers Pumpkin Patch and Trevens Superbowl......

You can't start October without a trip to Jakers Pumpkin patch! Emery starts asking when the patch will be open starting July! We love visiting the patch over conference weekend and this year we had Jaron up from Vernal to join in the fun! This year Jake added a corn maze and the kids had fun having a race to see who could get out the fastest. It was Treven and Jaron against Ryan and Halle. Treven and Jaron won and they didn't let Ryan forget it. The kids had a blast playing around in the corn, going down the slides, climbing and climbing on the Hay stacks and petting the animals. Last was getting our pumpkins and the kids along with ryan I swear picked out the biggest ones they had down there!

For the past five years Ryan had spent his fall coaching tyler in football, but with Tyler moving up to freshman ball Ryan got the chance to finally get to coach Treven in football. It was even more fun for him since this was Treven's first year in tackle football. Treven also got to have his cousin Dylan on the team along with a bunch of his friends! Ryan took Tylers tackle football team along with Steve and they went undefeated two years in a row and Super Bowl champions. Well Ryan, Jeff, Nick, and Jeramiah took this little football team and Ryan got to coach another team that went undefeated in their season and were the superbowl champions. The best part about the superbowl game was that Treven had a rockin game and had his best game of the season! Treven was on fire and had so many tackles and breakthough on the line that they put an extra guy on Treven. What made it even better was when Treven came up to Ryan and said, "Dad I finally get it, if this guy goes here I go here and if this happens then I do this!" All year long Ryan had been trying to get him to see the plays and the field and at the last game he got it! It made Treven feel like a superstar and after the game he had the biggest smile on his face and couldn't stop telling me about how many tackles he got, how they won the superbowl, and how much he loved playing football! Treven struggles with a lot of things in school so to just see his self esteem jump by a foot was awessome for this mom! After the game was won it got even better, Ryan carried on his tradition of singing the We Are the Devils chant with the team, and the champion t-shirt. Since Treven was handed that t-shirt he was worn that thing for 5 days straight! Lucky for me I got to wash it before he headed out the door for school today!

September Activities and Treven's Birthday!

Along with School and the changing of the color of the leaves fall to our family means Football, soccer, more football, and oh yeah a little more football. With Tyler getting his cast off Tyler finally got to play in a game. I was so proud of him for sticking with all those practices for a month so he could get back in an finish out his season. Treven Has loved having Ryan be his coach and even though he does get sick of practing, with this kid it doesn't matter what sport he just wants to play the game not practice, he has done really well and has loved playing defense. Halle is my little ballarenia and this year has really loved doing her dance class along with soccer. She did well and loved playing defense the best and she did an awesome job doing it, even when going up against some girls that were three heads taller! Emery had a good season playing cub soccer for the first time. She didn't make all the games due to her not wanting to play but she did by the end of the season get a goal! We were so proud of her and dad even promised her a bike, which he still has to make good on! She was a hoot to watch play since all she wanted to do was do cartwheels and make sure all of us were watching her. Her best move was when the ball was kick right to her but since she was talking to the other players ran right over the ball and didn't even notice it! But she made it so fun to watch and it was even sweeter when she got a goal! Emery is also doing dance with her friend Susie and has loved dancing and showing off her moves! Stephanie and Liz did an amazing job coaching and I loved getting to just sit on the sidelines and watch this year! Thank you ladies!

Emery's best friend is Susie! She had her birthday and Emery had so much fun that even though she doesn't even talk about princesses she is now requesting a princess party for her birthday!

For Treven's Birthday this year since it was his off year for a friend party, Ryan and I took Treven to the BYU football game. It was so fun just going out with Treven and just spending time with him and letting him talk and talk and talk to us without anyone interupting him. It is amazing how everyday we ask him how his day went and he will only give us a sentence, but you get him without any distractions and we learned so much about what is going on with him.

Springville City had a celebration to honor all the construction companies that at one time in the history of Springville made this city have the most in the United States. Strong Company that was started by my Great Grandpa was one of the biggest at one point between the 50's and 60's. The city build a little park by the library and had a plaque made up with all the construction companies name. It was fun to take the kids down and show them some family history. Even their Grandpa Averett and one time worked for the Strong Company.

Well it was time to celebrate Treven's 11th Birthday and since I couldn't find any Denver Bronco stuff to make a cake with Treven was happy with his second favorite football team, BYU! Treven was so happy to have all his cousins and aunts and uncles at his house along with Grandma and Grandpa Averett to sing to him and make him feel special on his day! Well his the day before his real birthday since he would be at football practice.

HAPPY BIRHDAY TREVEN! Time again for the breakfast in bed tradition of our birthdays. Treven had a little bit of a hard time waking up, but when he did he was ready for his gift! He got to go shopping with my dad for his gift from Grandma and Grandpa Averett, which of course he picked out legos, so it was time for his present from mom and dad. Treven was really excited to get a new iPod along with all the stuff we let him buy at the BYU game. Nothing says breakfast like Mcdonalds!

Even with playing football we always find time to go and watch football and support Springville high School! We took the kids down to the Homecoming game and hung out with some friends and let the kids run around. The girls found out they were pretty good at cheerleading and had fun all night practicing their new skill!

Cole was on Emery's soccer team so Emery loved getting extra cheerleaders from Brad and Lezlee and especially Elsie!

Treven loved getting all his gear on and was sad to find out he doesn't get to keep the equipment!
